"Emerald Elegance" Show Lead

The Details:

Elegant. Classic. This four strand show lead features beautiful deep fern green leathers with a hint of custom painted Palomino Gold. The leathers are complimented with two beautiful bead clusters featuring artisan glass beads accented by crystal and gold spacer beads. Finished off with two hand tied knots at the collar loop and thumb loop end, this lead is just waiting to become your "go-to" in the ring.

I take care to inspect every inch of every strand of leather to ensure there are no splices that would weaken your end product. From there each strand is split and beveled (which helps get a smooth, even braid) before being stretched and conditioned. Once the leather is prepared it is tightly braided around a 300lb Dacron test core. Once the braiding is finished my leads are rolled and conditioned again for a soft, smooth lead that only gets better with use!

The Dimensions:

- Lead measures 37" from end to end

- Thumb loop is 2.5"

- Collar Loop end is ~1.25" long

  • First bead cluster (one glass focal bead) is set 11.5" from collar loop
  • Second counterweight cluster (two glass focal beads) is set 7.5" from thumb loop

Photos are taken indoors under UV lighting. Colours may not be exactly as they appear in real life due to variances in monitors and lighting. If you would like additional photographs in natural lighting please contact me.

Show leads are not intended for day to day use (i.e. walking). Over-conditioning of your lead will result in foils rubbing off quickly. Show leads last best when they are used on fairly well trained dogs.
